If you res as a Red and you get skill/stat loss, how long does it take for that stat loss to wear off and return to normal?
(asking because I murdered once too many times and accidentally went red, ressed, and got that loss)

Are you kidding me? It took me three days just to bring healing up from 30 to 40. I'm not doing that again.

You should have read up on being a murderer.
You could have stopped at 4 anytime and murdered once a day no problem.
Alot of people who murder just ress rather then wait out all their counts and are in the same position you are right now.
And if it took three days of macroing healing to gain ten points...well you better read more in forum.
Why do you think the pks target newbs? Alot of them are in statloss!

If I have to macro again to get these stats and skills back, I'll just quit. I've ressed 6 times on this character already; I'm not willing to go through all that work again.

This was really not an appropriate response to the question at all.
Yes though, statloss is permanent, and complies with the statloss system present in the T2A era. There was no era of UO that I'm aware of in which stats would just come back. There is more information on stat loss here:

There is also a FAQ that's worth a read here on other gameplay aspects:

Thank you. That explains a lot to me.
Well, I guess I'll start macroing a new character then. I wanted to redo my starting skills anyway, take the ones that are hard to raise and just do everything over now that I know what to expect.

Sorry for your setback and the misunderstanding of the system. It can be a cruel game for sure.

It's more or less my fault. I didn't read up enough and this is my punishment for letting my mind and my will wander into dark places. Now I know better.
My only real regret is not being able to access any sort of bank as a Red. I had 10k+ worth of stuff on that character and I had plans to buy a boat with him. I gotta figure out how to transfer that stuff in between macroing (or somehow scrape that much together again for a boat and proper gear for SoS hunting).

Well as long as you learned something, you know it's not really a loss.
Just try to have fun and keep at it.

Yeah, I'll try not to be too discouraged.
Is there ANY place where a Red character can access a Bank though?

I refer to suffering statloss to being "newbified"
After re-reading I can see how it could have been taken as an insult.
I think you can bank at Buccaneer's Den...you better look that one up. Alot of people wait until they get houses to murder.

How do I get there? The Moongates don't seem to lead there.

Ouch...
Okay you need to go go to the Southwestern most part of Verity Isle~ "which is where Moonglow is"~ to $$$ Rune tower. There is a vendor tent outside so you can't miss it. Most rune libraries have it.
You need to cast recall from the runebook by accessing the page the rune is on.
Make sure though that its accessible to a murderer, I hear there are reds there all the time so I am assuming so.
