Stat loss
Re: Stat loss
Stat loss has kind of been a misnomer for a long time, yes it does effect all stats and skills at a fixed percentage depending on the number of short term counts.elsternj wrote:from having 5 or more short term murder counts. does it only affect stats or skills as well? i need some clarification on this. and if so does it affect all skills?
Re: Stat loss
I'm not quite understanding this, you lose stat and skill points for being a murderer? Do those points come back after a time period or do you have to retrain that skill?
Re: Stat loss
There are Long and Short term murder counts, which decay at 40hrs and 8hr of in game time respectively. If you resurrect with more than 4 short term counts you are assessed stat and skill loss that varies from 1% to 20%. You receive one of each when you are reported for murder. The long terms counts make you red if you have more than four.

Re: Stat loss
Thank you for the reply, Derrick, but I came here to be perma red, I want 500+ murder counts, so when I take stat and skill loss, then regain my skills back, will I lose them again after I murder my next victim, or is this a one time thing? I never want to be blue, so does this mean I will have to ALWAYS be trainning???
Re: Stat loss
you can be red with no stat loss so long as you have less than 5 short term murders

<IronfistMax> tell me where you are in game, and ill come thank you personally
Mad_Max: blackfoot you sent everyone to a slaughter

Re: Stat loss
there's no true perma-red status on this shard unfortunately.. simple way to put it: long terms will only affect your red/blue status (over 4 will always be red)
short terms affect your statloss status (over 4 and you will always get statloss)
Just leave your red character on overnight or something if he has over 4 short terms if you don't want statloss.. 8 hours later you'll be minus one short (40 hours later for minus one long).. it is pretty annoying but it is accurate from one standpoint of t2a
Also, IF you die with more than 4 shotterms (statloss number of shorts) then you can choose to NOT res and macro off the counts while your dead to avoid losing skills/stats..just wait until you have exactly 4 shorts THEN res to aviod: its not gaurunteed you lose the skills if your smart about it..
