UO Second Age

when i played uo in 98 i use to hoard up all these awesome magic items i never used, i would put them on at the bank or in the house when playing around with guild mates, but rarelly ever took it to pvp in fear of loosing it, how stupid...now i either convert it to gold or use it in pvp, who gives a shit, if you ever quit youd lose all your stuff anyway, so whats the point of this, well ive been selling vanq wepns and other crap i dont use (not my melee skill) in pvp to npc vendors in britn...if your a newb keep your eye out on the npc vendors, you can snag a vanq for 500gp...

i once used a full deamon bone set on osi to pvp in... suprisingly i was targeted and died that day.

Ah, so there is no insurance in this game right? I was reading many shards and some have insurance. Now I can't find where this one has or doesn't.

This shard does not have insurance. That came many years later

No insurance... Insurance will only be added in about 5 years, or so.

Its best to have a chance to lose all things on your person, in my opinion this creates a real sense of fear to do things in the non-safe zones. I like UO's no criminal acts inside towns and such, all games that wish to go this route should use the very same system. I want a 3D world where its this way, however, I like the idea of really powerful armors like in Dark Age and stuff... could you imagine killing a guy with gear like this on him?
