Quests? There are quests, you say?

Hey, all. I'm relatively new to UO. Lately, I've been shard hopping, finding a home for myself when I stumbled upon this, what so far seems, gem of a shard.
Well, I've been browsing around these boards and learned that the devs have implemented quests? I like the idea of them but don't really know how to start them nor how they work. Anyone care to fill me in?

All the quests are triggered by speaking with NPC's. Some details have been specified elsewhere as to who to talk to, but ask around. The quest NPC's tend to stick out a bit though so they shouldn't be hard to find. Most quests right now start in Britain.

New mining quest is cool. I still can't find Shemp's sword...and i've escorted him three times

They're not quests if you go around giving away the information on how to complete them.

i honestly don't remember the trigger. i was cussing like a sailor at the guy, calling him pussy, cawk-sucker, etc.
i did all the question words: who what when where why how. then quest, necromancers, and others. i just stumbled upon the trigger i guess
