Yeah it looks like it wasn't changed to drop off sea serpents until
this patch less than a month before UO:R's release.
Power hour was also introduced in this patch, which we definitely don't want.
On the other hand, bank checks were introduced here, which we do have.
This was also the patch when evaluating intelligence was changed to gain with magery, and anatomy was changed to gain with fighting skills - which we *do* have.

All of this is up for discussion. It's in era either way. We've tried to take the "best" elelments of the era, and it doesn't all match up to any extact time. pre-cast was removed before the items in this patch were added.

Yes I remember that 2- 3 month period when there was still instahit but no precast anymore. I'd Vote no for serps. I personally consider when they took out precast the era was over. Imo though

Right now we're pretty lenient on unattended fishing macroing because of the serps. We'd have to monitor it a lot closer if we removed them.

I think serpents should stay in. People don't want serpents so they *can* unattend macro in my opinion. Makes it too easy. It's easy enough as it is.

Killed deep sea serpents with 30 magery when I was first starting out, haha. Took a ridiculous amount of fireballs and In Manis, but it worked.

I brought this up to make fishing t2a accurate. Isn't that the purpose of this shard? It's the reason why I make any of these posts. I also won't post anything unless I have the info to back it up
But at the same time

that would be the real problem.

We're pretty much both saying the exact same thing. Not sure why you quoted them as being different statements.

Both methods are era accurate. From what I've seen, Derrick makes a good decision but keeps his eyes open to what people want to see when this happens.

Eh, I'd just rather Derrick and company do other things than needing to check in on fishermen every 10 minutes to see if they are AFK macroing.
As long as the current system is "era accurate", which seems to be the case, then I don't see a problem.
