Unofficial To-Do List

This is an unofficial "to do" list of changes for the shard. I will edit consistently to add/remove items approriately. Players are welcome to reply with other confirmed upcoming changes that have pre existing topics and a link to that topic. This topic is not for discussing changes, just simply keeping an organised documentation of things known.

Items highlighted in orange are still up for further discussion.

I'll work in categories etc. for further organisation once the list grows.

Pack creature AI
Pack creature spawns should all have the same target when attacking (hell hounds, ice isle orcs)

Ressurrection limit
Should only be able to resurrect a maximum of 5 times in 20 minutes. Every 20 minutes a ressurection count is removed.

Forensic Evaluation and Perma grey
Should be able to use forensic evaluation to reveal if a thief is perma-gray.

Weapon qualities and Vendor Display Price
All weapons should vary slightly in qualities (even exceptional to exceptional). Vendor's prices would depend on the item's damage, accuracy and durability. Players would be able to find out more about an item used the Item ID skill

Skill gain
Skill gains should be affected by the amount others are trying to gain in a similar skill.

Perma red
After going red a certain number of times, players should become permanently red.

Remove party and guild chat systems

Incognito
Guild titles and abbreviations should not display when incognito.

Radiating damage
Certain monsters should damage you when you stand too close.

"You must wait for that spell to have an effect."
This message should appear during a spell recovery delay.

"You are already casting a spell."
This message should appear anytime a spell target is active when trying to cast a spell instead of only while the casting animation is active.

Stables
Stables are suppose to "virtually" stable the pets with in the closest stablemaster(unless you use "name" stable instead for a specific stablemaster) instead of the stable itself. All stablemasters should become invulnerable.

Murderers kicked out of O/C
If you are a member of an order or chaos guild, and become a murderer you'll be removed from the guild

Guild alignment flagging
All members of guilds of the same alignment will appear green, and can also be freely attacked.

Can you add guildchat and the party system to the list, theres a thread about it somewhere in suggestions.

There is no need for further discussion about Guild and Party chat.

It's pretty clear why it shouldn't be highlighted orange and the only reason one would say otherwise is for contentious purposes only. Thanks.

Should be highlighted orange, only because that thread has a total of 5 posts, and the discussion seems to still be in its infancy.

Also, I know you already stated that you plan on organizing this list by category once it gets larger, but just to add to the pool of ideas; What about an overall oganization of importance, and speed/ease to implement certain changes? We all know certain suggestion will take longer then others.

Keep up the good work this is good stuff!

  • Stables are suppose to "virtually" stable the pets with in the closest stablemaster(unless you use "name" stable instead for a specific stablemaster) instead of the stable itself.
  • "You are already casting a spell." message should appear anytime a spell target is active when trying to cast a spell instead of only while the casting animation is active.
  • The "You must wait for that spell to have an effect." message should appear during a recovery delay.
  • Spell animations needs to be slowed down being adjusted to the demo speed.
  • Cutting cloth into bandages should only create one bandage at a time instead of the whole stack the scissors are used on. - http://update.uo.com/design_321.html

Also, the replies in this thread related to the items in the main list should be deleted after being written down in the original thread to keep it from getting too cluttered to read.

I will run that by Derrick, majority of the changes already have been except for the ones Faust just posted. It is sort of general knowledge, however I would prefer if people would make topics first about changes that way I have something to link discussions to.

I can't find the old thread that had the stable talk in it... However, Derrick knows that this information was brought to him a long time ago. Here is a post that I written in trash talk several weeks ago. I don't think it's appropriate to link trash talk URL's.

Stablemasters were made invulnerable because people would kill them in town wiping out entire inventories of stabled pets. The stablemasters inside of town is accurate, but the stablemasters outside of guard limits in player towns should not be invulnerable.

Also, the casting messages was verified through "general knowledge", screenshots, and the demo.

I believe another thing on the docket is that Reds aren't allowed in Chaos/Order
