Holding a spellbook in your hands will prevent the learning of tactics or wrestling. Mages should make careful note of this, as the new skill advancement changes will result in problems for them otherwise!

Guild titles and abbreviations will no longer display when incognito.

Any of the friends or bosses of a pet can now retrieve it from the stables, instead of only the person who stabled it there.

Slimes now have a chance of splitting into two slimes when struck.

The harm spell (including on wands) will no longer ignore armor.

Recall changes in dungeons:
You can freely recall in and out of dungeons on the first level.
On the second level of dungeons, you can recall out with no problems, but gating in becomes difficult because of the mass of stone and earth preventing you from forming a clear mental picture of the destination.
Deeper into the dungeons, recall does not function at all.

Body parts from chopping corpses will decay at an accelerated rate, and will also decay regardless of where they are kept.

I ran most of this by Kaivan, there were about 2 definite things and most of the others he was sure were flops...couldn't remember all of them, mainly the recall thing he was sure wasn't accurate. Anyways, thoughts and comments on all these? I'm pretty definite about the incog part.

I never remember recall ever having any limitations, except for wind, and balron room.

there may be another few places, but dungeon basements was not one of them

You know. The slime one was so obvious I am surprised it hasn't come up before. Best thing ever? MAing slimes until they split and just multiply. Surround yourself with boxes and just MA them until they are like bunnies.

Yeah the recall thing has been pretty well disproved thus far through even more sources than kaivan, was sort of just wondering if/when it was in and for how long...same for most of these things, I believe most of them were removed/changed before/during T2A.

Yeah, i remember the slimes multiplying.

The recall thing might have been put in for a short period then removed. I kind of remember this, atleast reading about it. I think it was something that was 'in development' for a while, but was never actually initiated. I could be completely wrong though, but it does sound familiar.

This is so interesting:

http://www.ne.jp/asahi/aeg/uo/oldupdate ... 12-98.html
That page also mentions the Recall from/to dungeon stuff.

Same content: http://update.uo.com/oldupdates/2-12-98.shtml

But our wiki has a small difference: http://wiki.uosecondage.com/index.php?t ... atch_Notes
2/12/98
Note that some items from the Test Center were not published with this update.
Our wiki contains that extra line "Note that some items from the Test Center were not published with this update.".

What was the motivation for adding that extra line?

I think most of these patch notes, and definitely the ones that are not available any longer on any OSI sites were copied from a guild website that had them archived.

An attribution for that line would be much appreciated if anyone knows.

I don't remember having any restrictions on recalling into any dungeon (other than wind), any level, until UOR. Used to recall into the LL hallway in deceit and have duels there.

I agree with Arkon. I do not remember having a problem recalling into dungeons even on lower floors.

If you guys add in this recall feature, its going to really discredit your vision and main goal here. This isn't accurate to any era of UO.

Hmmm, maybe not in Trammel, I can't say because I never went there. I am certain that at some point though, the inability to recall out of lower levels of dungeons was implemented. I just have zero recollection of when it occurred.

To my understanding there were restrictions put into place for recalling in/out of dungeons in Felucca at some point after T2A. I guess this other part was Pre-T2A
