I just bought a vessel I haven't launched yet and I was wondering how they compare to houses? Can you log in and out instantly on them? Can you lock down and secure items thereon? Can ships be pirated and stolen whilst at sea? I heard the little ship models are newbiefied is that true? If you die at sea what happens? I bought a model ship without the deed how does that effect it's usage? Sorry for so many questions...I just want to know everything before I head out.

One thing in particular... I heard some people fighting others aboard ships on irc. Can I cover my deck to stop summons from boarding?

You can cover the deck to prevent someone from casting EV on your boat. But they can sail close to you and take the cloth or whatever. The only spot people cannot reach is the tile immediately behind the mast. You cannot lock things down, but that one spot is safe for the most part. The hold is the best place for things if it will fit, and it MAY be possible for someone to board your boat so if you dont plan on getting robbed park it with its nose in a mountain when your not around, and always drop the anchor.

There is a limit to stones but how about stacked items like Ore...can stacks of ore...more then a sailor ever lift before arrr lol be used to at least hinder a boarding or ev? Or is there a weight restriction? Some things count as only one stone when stacked but its true amount when carried say like in the bank...does that apply to ships as well?

No weight restrictions, your boat will not sink.

It doesnt sink, it vanishes. I think invisible boats are worth more anyway.

Be kind of neat to be able to cast invisible on your ship though.
