Parrying spell damage?

Can a character Parry spell damage (ie, "defend" an energy bolt)?

You know, this is something that is out there in the webscape but I do not know if it was ever implemented during T2A.

I think it was one of those things like the orginal necromancy that just got put on the shelf while SunSword and EA were thinking of ways to jack things up for UO:R form May 1999 on... ;)

This was discussed in a mid-99 ad-hoc chat, but never implemented during the era.

Just for people unfamiliar to UO, I'll add this to the thread. There is a skill called Resisting Spells, that can help lower the damage received from offensive spells cast against you. Read more about this spell in the T2A Wiki. Direct link to Resisting Spells here.
