Has anybody else found it rediculous hard to train carpentry due to the insane amount of lumber needed? I've used over 4000 boards and im only in the 40's.. Much harder than blacksmith & tailoring it seems..

I found it 'ridiculously' easy myself. At around 47-48 start making ballot boxes. I think I have a guide in the Guides forum.

Its not a big issue, I was just comparing it to blacksmith & the resource usage it took. Only took me around 30k ingots to GM, seems Carpentry will take a bit more effort..

Yeah, I've found it kind of difficult to raise. There's a freakin awesome lumbering macro posted in the guides section that made life a bit easier though.

I'd like to get to GM eventually, but I'm not sure if I've got the patience, :)

Carpentry gain needs a dev boost IMO, I've given up.

I didn't have a problem getting to 100 in carpentry.

Well dumbass me decided to give it one more go. Used 3500 logs and went from 65 to 67, following the posted guides here and making wooden shields. Am I crazy for thinking that is too slow?

Lumberjacking gains seem better though, I remember that seemed really slow a couple months ago, maybe it was fixed.

Man, thats really weird. I'm pretty sure I was making shields at that skill too and it sure didn't take me that many boards to get a measly 2% gain!

Hang on... you are cutting the logs into board aren't you?

Hmm that does seem a little strange then. I'm only at 79 so far myself, but certainly haven't used that many boards getting there.
