This would be a good question for cA's real estate division.

While thieving can be extremely rewarding and fun, as I'm sure you know if you have played a thief in the past, it is not a particularly profitable skill set. Big ticket steals like the one that Daolin is hinting at are typically few and far between, and tend to be once-in-a-lifetime type of occurrences.
If you are looking to be rewarded with wealth for your playtime, stealing is not the skill set to pursue here. Nearly any other profession in the game can make exponentially more money per hour playing than a thief can. If you are looking for an alternative style of player versus player action, then thieving is for you.

No don't get me wrong I always intended to play a thief but the type im making is just reliant on two questions;
Is there enough stuff to steal?
Do steal-ables sell well?

If your strategy is to become a bank thief, then its not goign to work well. If you're actually going to travel around and steal, you could definitely find things worth reselling.

Stealing is sort of like being a private investigator. It's not profitable unless you can remember information and put it all together to figure out where a big score is going to be.

My usual t2a methods include having a rune library of person I've seen around and their house location
