Well, i made that comment after looking at the Stratics link that was posted above. Unless Stratics is the Wikipedia of the UO universe.

I believe Kat's were nerfed some time ago, and their speed is more adequately documented in the UO wiki.

But still, the answer to the OP is, yes, the Katana is the fastest swordsmanship weapon.
