a sailor/fisherman template

Post by Eldarth »

Hi guys, I am making this character, it will sail the sea, fish a lot and behave like a sailor/fisherman/merchant.

My skills are Fishing, Item ID, Fencing, Hiding, Cooking... and I need two more... Something to kill those serpents maybe. Poisoning/Tactics, or Poisoning/Anatomy? What would be better guys? If you consider RP... :-)

Maybe go with Anatomy, and Tactics...Poisoning is expensive and not much use with this char.

I think he's doing an RP character, not a leetomgpvp/pvm/pvemoneez character.

I guess that archery is good choice, cause I have lack of healing... and melee is not a good choice maybe... though fencing goes more RP with this guy.. :-) Well let's see... This guy will fight only serpents, so I don't know if he has a chance to go only with 100str, 100dex, 100 fencing, potions. What do you think? If I survive this, no need to put more dmg skills.

I fail to see how that template can't be used by a roleplayer. Roleplaying doesn't have to do with your skills but how you act and behave.

My bad. I thought Matron was recreating his entire template for max. game skills.

Me bad. :(

Considering the skills you already listed as possibilities, I'd go with this template:

item id
fishing
cooking
fencing
tactics
anatomy
healing

With this build you can kill sea serpents, heal yourself and still keep the core skills you want for your play style.

If you want hiding this is how I would go about it:

75 item id
GM fishing
75 cooking
70 hiding
GM fencing
GM tactics
90 healing
90 anatomy

I'm working my fisherman right now, at 86.5 fishing. :)

This is my Fisherman/Merchant build:

Fishing
Cooking
Magery
Meditation
Eval Int
Inscription

I'm not sure what I want for my last skill. I think it is going to be tailoring or magic resist.

Now I got some idea... maybe I'll drop all the fighting stuff and hire some buddy to protect me on the sea, that sounds like fun. :P

Yea, you could always do that too. You can have up to 3 account so if you are having trouble finding someone to join you, just make another character to help you out. Sometimes I bring my archer/warrior with me since they are on separate accounts.
