I've been doing lots of taming recently, not sure what your skill is at so not sure what direction to point you.
from 50-70's was really slow for me , i roamed the world taming various things like llama's/cougars/panthers/great harts, anything i could find really, got raises of things never would of expected just by taming everything i came across.
once 70's and able to tame bulls i pretty much just sat in Yew sheep pen and tamed bulls/cows/llama's/sheep. They'll continue to respawn, just move them outa the pen or kill them after it gets to full. This kinda boring but i got like 800 bolts of cloth from it before i was finished, and it was quite fast. (tip for fun, make a theme by naming the creatures... i had names of Chicago bulls players for the bulls, GOBulls for the sheep, Da Bulls for the llama's and Bulls Fan for the cows and had a bulls rally! ok maybe only im crazy to have fun that way

) (another fun tip, make a sheep maze while doing it!

)
after bulls wore thin i went to T2A lands and tamed giant toads, therse plenty of good spots for this, my favorite being just across bridge and to the right, norht of papau.
while taming toads; Imps, Hell hounds, Hell kitties, Lava Lizards all became tamable. Done those things to get to 91, after that im not sure yet still. Plenty of spots to get these guys stuck on to make it easy to tame, and not have to run in circles so much.
By no means do i think this is the "fastest" or most effecient way to raise taming, but since nobody else was putting anything out there for you its all i can give

, i've had a lot of fun taming, and think its much better now with re-taming not allowed. Tamer was first char i made and have tamed off and on since i started end of feb. to get to 91, though i must admit i was at like 70, 2 weeks ago, so it really sped up once i got to bulls, im sure someone has a good strat for 50-70. Most people i believe just tame on Ice island and kill what they tame so that it continues to repop, not sure.
91+ we'll see, but getting to all the fun stuff now so it's exciting.
