UO Second Age

I'm having this problem when trying to log on.

I am able to log on, and create a character - which I can now see on the My.UOSa website, but when I click on my character to enter Brit, and the top of my UO window says Ultima Online - Char Name (SecondAge) and the middle of the screen says "Entering Britannia..." At this point I get a Vista message saying "Ultima Online Client Has Stopped Working. and I have to close down UO.

Here is what I have tried to do to remedy the situation.
I have ensured that I have the correct patch 5.0.8.3.
I have downloaded the .net framework 1.1
I have razor downloaded
and obviously the UO client downloaded
and I set both the razor and UO client, to run with compatibility mode for windows XP SP2 and set both programs to run as administrator.

I literally have no idea what to do now, anyone have any ideas?

well my first advice is : Dont use Vista is crap of the Crap.

2nd, can you start up without Razor ?

Can I open the client without Razor and get to the log in screen? yes.

I had this problem on Vista, and I re-downloaded the client from another source and it worked fine. I used the second link on this website.
