Yes. People still play, both old and new. Forums are pretty dead though. Check out the Discord-link on the top of the page.

Please see my rage-quit post.
I have not dropped everything as I had promised/threatened (too lazy or, maybe, too hopeful), but neither have I played at all (and I do mean, 'at all') in the meantime.
If you come back, I think I will start playing actively again. Haha: I don't know if that's incentive, or not …
If you do return to UOSA I will happily give to you anything you think you need.

Glad to see the community's still active! I had played the game ages ago when I was a teenager and figured I'd try looking for an active community after a bout of game nostalgia... I'll stick to the forums as I have a personal vendetta with Discord, but at least, there are still people browsing it from time to time.
