House kiling

Good morning,
A friend of mine helped me out and I am in my first big house, a large patio. He ran me thru basic home security of the place including making sure the patio doors were locked in addition to the front doors. We got a couple animals trapped and I started my provoke macro, happy to finally be in something bigger than my old small house. Of course, checked first thing as soon as I woke up and someone had killed me about 5 minutes after I turned the monitor off (awesome!). After scanning previous forum posts on home security, I am still scratching my dead how I was killed. Everything I saw in previous threads indicated I was standing in a "safe zone" for things like meteor swarm.

Here are the exact circumstances-
was macroing in center of the front room of the patio (exactly where I would stand to macro in my old small)
was not macroing magery or anything else that I could damage myself with
all exterior and interior doors were closed and locked
neither one of the animals inside the house I was provoking was killed
character that killed me was Yeppers

Any info would be greatly appreciated. It took all the excitement out of finally getting a big house coming back to the ghost screen on the first night of ownership.
On a side note- killing people that are macroing is seriously pathetic.

You probably live near water or a dip in the terrain

Will take screen shot when I get home.

How does water/terrain dip come in to play in these type of scenarios? Not being a smart ass, genuinely curious.

I think so too. From within 10 squares he could have killed you with purple pots either from water, or an elevated space.

I do live next to the water. Are you saying if I live next to the water someone can just cruise by on a boat and kill me with purple pots?
What kind of loophole is this!?

That is exactly what I'm saying. I live next to the water as well and I too had the very same problem. Next time try to macro as far away from water as possible - at least 10 squares, better a little more as pots have explosion radius. I lost my mare this way too. It has to do with the infamous "LOS bug", but is era accurate I hear and, thus not considered a thing to be fixed. We just have to suck it up and live with it. Adapt and prosper! :-D

Sounds like I will have to park a boat out there.
That seems like complete crap, being able to throw pots INSIDE a house.
Not saying it's not true, just crap that it is capable of being done at all.

A boat will do nothing agaist being house killed.

My guess was that if I were to park a boat on the side of the house with water it would create that 10 square barrier for exploding pots.

It has nothing to do with being on the water, its about the dips
