Second age and Divinity

Post by Water »

I am going to start playing on one of these two T2A shards but before I get started what are the differences between the two? I know Div has no mounts, is that the only thing?

I don't know anything about that other shard, but this shard aims to replicate the T2A era down the last detail. It is also, by far, the most professionally ran shard I have ever played on.

If you do play here, I can hook you up with a place to macro and basic equipment for sparring and hunting monsters.

I've played both, and Second Age is better.

Second Age - Flourishing, shard that replicates UO in '99.
Divinity - Dying horse, ghost town, doesn't replicate any era in pre:uor.

All that really needs to be said...

I don't think we need to compare the two...the OP will have to decide for himself by playing.

I played Divinity for over a year...because it said it was a t2a server(Which it is not). It did not say it was 100% accurate but it didnt have to be...my memory prolly isnt 100% but after playing there, im glad im here. When i first joined(Div)it felt more t2a, and had 1000 players online. Unfortunately, the direction it took chased most people off. There is no room for diverse playstyles on Divinity and most players there are unforgiving griefers. I'm pretty sure sooner rather than later it will be a test center type server, where you type in your skills: "/Magery 100", "/Swordsmanship 100" and the landmass will be reduced to maybe One town and a big grassy patch where you PeaVpee.(Many towns are closed to "consolidate players" already) Also many allegations of GM favortism for certain players(some gms are apparantly from guilds that play on Div) Im sure there are other reasons but ive stopped thinking about them. The thing that finally brought me here was the buzz on Divinitys forums.(I kinda like their forums better...easier interface i think) Alot of people posting.."where is everyone? on that other shard?" So i checked out the other shard. After refreshing my house for about a month i just let it fall and decided to stay here...Not sure i can rebuild my giant aquarium here but o well...O..before i left alot of people were up in arms about the neon menace plaguing the server...Lots of Glacial Staff type colors and invisible skin tones and etheral capes and such(not all of it bothered me that much) Anyway..stay here.

start stock piling those fish steaks and death robes.

Decorating here is fun  . When you see a nice house you know that person worked very hard on it. No cheating deco-tools.

Divinity is not a real T2 shard.

Div doesn't advertise as a real T2A shard. If you want good PvP, play Div. If you want higher pop, accuracy, and overall better direction, play here. That's all it really comes down to.

divinitys pvp system truely takes no talent.

I could give you a bunch of reasons why you're wrong in terms of 1v1 and group fights but it doesn't really matter.

Though I will say I'm hopeful the fixes that are in the works will give the PvP here a much needed boost.

Pretty sure everyone has been saying that from day 1.

I don't think there will ever be a satisfactory way point.

disagree also, and pretty much argee with mazer.

div's pvp is fine, its just different.

guaranteed interupts on div, and much less atk last spamming.
