Bone Knight Room

Post by Beetle Juice »

If you are a new player, and want to know how to raise your melee skills the most efficient way then I'll tell you how.

Back in the day people would always gather at the Bone Knight Room a.k.a. the BK room. They would form a wall consisting of three or more players blocking the entrance to fight the bone knights. This would raise your skills extremely fast, and also provide a good amount of loot while you train your skills.

A while back there were some changes made to skills such as: healing, swordsmanship, fencing, macing, and tactics. These changes made it harder to raise skills while just sparing with another person. Now it is 5x harder to raise your melee skills, and to raise healing past 60 you have to cure a poisoned target.

I propose to bring the BK WALL back. This will make it easier for new players to raise their melee skills. I will also be creating a new warrior to raise his skills the fastest way possible.

I will be at Moonglow bank from 7:00pm till 7:15pm EST every TUES. & Thurs. until I have enough players to join me on this endeavor. I hope to have several new players, and some veterans who would like to help by healing people when needed.

Great idea till like 8 pks show up.

That would only work if there was a deticated group of anti's. BK room is far to close to lich lords which has more pks' then monsters

It's a good idea but it would be a lot better if you hadn't posted about it on here...haha. I'm sure ACE will have runes set to the BK room by the end of tonight.

If there is any interest in this, we may start partoling the BK room for PKs.
Better yet, we could let an organizer into our ventrilo channel to inform us of any PK activity.

me and a couple friends, along with a couple randoms formed the bk wall about a week ago. Did it for two nights after 1 am, didn't see a single person come through and the gains seemed alot better than those from order guards.

You can gm any melee skill in about 12 hours from 0 to 100 on sparring paladins or fighters. That would cost you 1200 gold max to GM your melee + tactics skill as well gaining anatomy by macroing on the target as well. I do think the BK wall is a great idea, I just don't think its a viable approach with such a lower population. All it would take is one or two Pk's to disband the walll with GE pots.

Back on greatlakes, you would have 20 people at the wall along with people who hunted PK's who specifically targeted the wall. I do not think you will see this here.

I think this is very feasible, with a guild such as turtle bay or K^A those with sufficient numbers to back up any wall group from a group of pk's that come into the BK room. Also I have noticed a severe skill gain change in combat skills as I can no longer just attack my own chars and gm in a decent fashion. I'm down with my new char in the bk room i dont care if all i lose is arrows, we could macro it with like 4 people perfectly and keep an eye on the client doing so with a backup pvp char of your own. tis np

Ironically, those are the exact guilds that would be the PK's at the room heh.

Also, As I have stated, in a half day you could have gm tactics, weapon skill and anatomy from using an NPC. The BK wall would be great for a change of pace, it would not be great for the fastest and most effective skill gain.

Due to circumstances out of my control, I will not be at the Moonglow Bank this Thurs. However, if someone would like to take my place I think this is a good idea, and could help develop the player base for this server.

My regrets,

I doubt it.
Turtle Bay rarely PKs, and I haven't really seen K^A pvp lately.

I believe your culprits would be TG, [^]DANGER[^], and Luca Blight lackies.

I've been attacked by two guilds. TB and -F-. It seems TB can be very aggresive towards non-TB people. I was asked to join their guild. I declined. The next time I saw him, I was attacked by the same person that tried to recruit me. They are opportunistic PKs. I would definately name TB as one of the first guilds to go mess with a newbie wall. They claim to want to help newbies. But they only help if you join them. If you don't, you are a target. So, unless the wall is made up of TB members. . . it'll go down.
