Paired with a T2A rune library on one boat and a main lands rune library on the other, this private hub can basically access the entire world.

Don't think it's worth anything. Not sure what the hype was back then. All you need is 2 recall runes and you can the same thing from almost all T2A entrances.

A similar result can be achieved by the average player, but this is far from the same thing. This is especially handy for a group of PK's since there's not housing or bank access for reds in T2A. With a rune library for T2A hot spots, a group could effectively canvass all of the major T2A hunting grounds in record time with almost zero interruption. I suppose you could argue that even then, there are ways PK's can achieve similar results.

It's also a safe macro spot.

The way I see it, the draw with this is essentially similar to the draw with rare housing. The <now gone> Wind garden house, for example, really offers nothing different than any house I could go place with minimal spawn, except maybe the privacy factor, but owning it would be a source of pride for many players. That's the same with this. This is the only private access point to both lands (also this HAS the privacy factor). Owning a "rare" has always been sought after in UO. Owning something that is one of a kind is the top of that tier.
