A quick tutorial on how to connect to the second age UOAM server.

First you must either have, or download and install UOAM
http://www.uoam.net/

After you have installed it open it and configure it to your liking.

Now click on map in the tool bar and select Additional Settings or press CTRL + A.

Select the "Link" tab in the UOAM control panel.

Now in the "IP" Field enter "uoam.uosecondage.com" & in the "Port" field enter "2000".

Now click "Link to Server"

You should now be signed into the second age UOAM server.

Thanks Alex, for getting the information to the forums.

An additional note on the usage of UOAM, if you supply a password on the connect dialog you will only be visible to those who have used that same password.

I have downloaded UOAM, and it worked fine until I logged off and tried to open it again. I got the Black screen that was mentioned in the FAQ. I have read it, and it doesn't seem to help me much. After inputing where to look for the map files, nothing happens. I have instructed it to look in. . .

c:\Program Files\UOAM

This is where I believe I installed it. If anyone can help me fix this please do.

Thank you,

Hi

Are you running Vista by any chance? I ran into that problem...

I've fixed it running UOAM as administrator or Razor as administrator, I don't recall which one it was.

I actually can't get it to work now. I no longer have the black screen, but it says that my char is in one spot when I'm not there. It says this for all my characters, and it's always the same spot on the map. If you know how to fix this problem please help me.

Thank you,

I have vista. I run the UOAM in admin mode. I enter uosecondage.com adn port 2000 and click link to server. I join the server and click track player. It shows me in the water north of Trinsic at 86 34 S 57 39E, I open razor to get my exact location and try to calibrate UOAM. I get the following message:

Calibration failed.
Likely reasons are:
the player has moved
the coordinates were incorrect or
the UO client has been closed.
Try again in a different location.

I try in various locations to calibrate and its the same error each time.

Now I used to use UOAM about 10 years ago, so I am no stranger to it. But I am damned if I can get it to work! And I know how important a tool it is, so if anyone can give me any help I will be eternally gratefull.

Regards

If you are running UOAM as administrator, it will not be able to communitcate with Razor unless Razor is also running as administrator. This also applies to Ventrillo (PTT Key) if anyone has had that problem.

You do need to run Razor as administrator the first time you run it after installing, but after that, I reccomend taking it out of that mode.

Try running UOAM, not as administrator, see if that works.

Finally managed to get it working. It was really strange. In the end I connected in the lost lands. I used the co ords from the Razor map, and punched them in UOmap. However I was sure I was in Brittania, he but if it works I wont argue with it :D

PS this server you run is the bomb. I am hooked. Kudos and if I am still playing in a few weeks time I will donate some dosh towards the running of the server. Keep up the good work. I have played every MMO from 1999 when I last played UO and none of them have ever lived up to UO hence ... I am back :)
