Black Sandals
: Spawned on Jewelers and Tailors (not sure if just the weavers). You would use the enticing skill to get them out of town and kill them, or chain poison them and guard whack yourself. These were TRUE BLACK.

Silver Sandals: Spawned on Brides (you know the ones you could escort?) You either escorted them somewhere out of guard zone and whacked em, or if they were already escorted and you enticed them as well.

Red Sandals: These were a burnt red that matched a suit of Daemon Bone Armor quite well. These spawned on Artists, or on a Cobbler in the provisioners.

Accuracy? Purely from memory. There used to be a bug with enticing to gm music in an hour or so on OSI and to make it a profitable exploit i'd do it on these npc's so I could snag the sandals when i was finished.
Yes the brides were the ones I was trying to point out in my other post. silver sandles became all the rage because they were extremely easy to acquire. I remember the dark red and black being worth the most.

We used to provoke a bull on the Tanner in Delucia and the Jewler in Papua to get true black sandles, we would get guard whacked, but for some reason the bull did not..
Haha Matron this is exactly the strategy I was trying to use :(

Also Derrick there were no other "true black" clothing items that I was ever aware of. Just the sandals. ** and shoes
Apparently I forgot to paste the link!

Black sandals did spawn on jewlers right by the popua bank and I also remember them spawning on popua's weavers! Sometime they would spawn with black shoes instead of sandals. I remember attacking panthers south of popua and luring back to town to provoke them on the npcs!

ya i can confirm the existance of black sandles on the weavers (altho the droprate was only a couple %)

infact i am glad i found this thread because i have been thinking of killing some to see if i could force a spawn.

implementing black sandals would def make clothing bless deeds much more valuable. Seems tat was the most blessed item ever. Possibly around the time you make them available put into effect an event where you have an opportunity to get a clothing bless deed. I have yet to see one of these deeds, I assume they are quite rare? there were several offerings of them in old OSI times (Christmas ticket match I think, clean up Britania, and a holiday gift choice)

I just want to add a little something.

The first thing i did when i came to this shard was made a tamer with 50 taming. I went to my location where black sandels spawned. I made my animal attack the NPC.

Right off the bat i noticed that my tactic would not work here. the reason being instad of the player making the command to attack the npc, the pet was guard wacked instead. That is not accurate.

It was a random roll but i would have to say roughly from memory, it was 1 in 15 NPC that would have true black sandels.

Derrick if you would like to know exactly where my spot was i could tell you via PM. But iam 100% sure of this location as me and one of my borthers would farm there for hours on end.

True Blacks did not spawn on all jewlers, Provisioners ect. there where only a few spots where u could get the true blacks.

Regards,

Apok, if you gave the command to "all kill", the animal had to still be tame, this could be the reason it did not work??? i never tried it with a tamer. you use to have to use provocation to kill the weaver, however, only you would get guard wacked, not the animal.

AND THE ONE AND ONLY SPOT APOK IS TALKING ABOUT IS POP WEAVER!

there i messed your whole day up apok. <- greedy!

hehe. honestly no one has mentioned the place where i would farm them. Hence i would rather it not be public knowledge, thats all.

Greedy maybe but i cant even grab any rares on this server, people farm locations here making certain items alomost impossible to get unless your on all the time. But i only have an hour here or there it depends on the day ect.
