Britain GY Ships

There should be enough room on either end of the water in the Brit GY for small ships. Anyone else remember this?

I think it was HC that had a ship there for a while, POTHEAD as well...
I dunno why but ships wont place there anymore.

Restrictions on where a ship can be placed have been modified over the years on UOSA to correct for odd collision detection problems (e.g. boats stuck in the land when they are placed). This probably means that if boats were once eligible to be placed in the ponds here, they probably aren't anymore.

yea, i noticed ships didn't seem to get as close together as i remembered... any chance we can get this changed? would be cool to have a chance at owning a ship in the GY...

Probably not. There were several RunUO only bugs associated with ships including ships being stuck in the land when they were first placed, and several issues with boats giving direct access to both other boats and to the land in certain circumstances without utilizing the plank, which is an issue we don't want players having.
