So Boom...can't you employ the anti theft mechanic on the other mobs such as raid leaders, and warlords like the inquisitor?

Nice pics. I got a cameo!

To the best of my knowledge the Inquisitor had at least one item that couldn't be stolen. I think the message was 'you can't steal that' so something blessed/newbie. He was also carrying items too heavy to steal (10 stone+), but initially he did have gold and what not.

From what I made out over IRC he still dropped things when he died, aye...?

Without revealing specifics (and I will add this to the main event thread):

The Inquisitors all carry a blessed weapon because it's too awesome to give away as loot (mainly, it has a large quantity of poison charges or spell charges depending the Inquisitor)

All gargoyles that are part of "the invasion" spawners have some chance to spawn silver. Special gargoyles have chance of trophies (2-silver or 10-silver)

Most gargoyles have a chance to spawn items (silver, trophies, magic weapons/armor, gargoyle shield) before death and after death. This way there is still a reason to bring a thief out to these events but a thief can't get away with loot as reliable as they were during the Vesper invasion.

So thieves could clean out a raid leader or a destroyer, but then someone could kill the monster and it would potentially spawn something new...? S'marvellous.

Thanks for the fun and the information Boomland ! Image

I thought silver only spawned when the mob died, as well as special event items like gargoyle shields. Is this then false?

I've stolen silver directly from 'em.

Crap, I forgot Photobucket has a monthly bandwidth limit. I'll move the pictures somewhere else as soon as I can.

(The same applies for this thread, this thread and this thread).
