Since there is no guide for the skill Stealing, can any one tell me if i need to increase this weight of what im stealing for better gains? Im stealing from a box in my house and im not sure if i can gain on my thief if hes friended. Ive been running this macro for 15min now and at 50 stealing skill I have not gained any thing. Any other tips would be much appriciated.

you can't gain like that... i stole a stack of bottles (200) until like 80 or so... then i got a bunch of pouches with 7 bottles in them (8 stones) 90 9 stones and like 10 stones from 95-gm.

i used wool up to mid 60's as it stacks so is easily manageable
i then made a bowyer, crafted some bows and used them till mid 80s
after that weighted bags are good as pill said

ok cool. I guess the only effective way to gain stealing is from a pack animal. Thx for the info.

Put wool or bottles into bags for the desired weight. (I also used dyes; I mixed up dyes and wool for what I needed. Bag weight was 2 stones by itself as well). 3 or 4 of these bags are plenty in case of any lagging.

1. Use stealing
2. Wait for target
3. Target packhorse (Remember to have him guard you first; grey only to you)
4. Pause for 10 seconds.
5. If "you successfully steal the item", THEN 6
6. Organizer Agent (Set up to transfer any packs of that type from you to packhorse)

your skill / 10 = weight in stones you should be attempting to steal. Round it to the nearest whole number

Buy a pack horse tell him to all guard me which will make him gray, then put 50 gold in a bag and steal that from the horse. You'll then need to put 50 more gold in the bag every 10 points until your gm, in fact the bag may weigh 1 stone in that case just steal the bag at first then at 50 gold at 10 points.
