If I remember correctly HC dropped an epic castle with good loot, making these spots available. So now instead of selling them at a reasonable price, people hold onto small houses that block a potential large house. Even I am not that big of an asshole.

Castle per is a little steep. I think tower per would be fair, maybe a castle for both combined, but it's really none of my business.
