Just a question: what specifically does, "deed," mean? As in an L shaped house deed, or...?

Someone saying "deed" refers to the deed of the house size being sold, in this case an L shape deed. Since there is little to no free large house space available most housing goes for deed + some gold.
Fortunately for for you, the house market is at like a 3 year low, so you should be able to get a house for just over the price of the deed. This one is going for deed + small house deed starting bid which is just a 43k premium.
