How do you get stables?

Ask vets for a few slots or buy them for a few k a piece.

Check the stables frequently. Stabled pets will disappear after one week if they aren't refreshed, which opens up spots.

So spots are taken up already, I see.. any advice on a "going rate" for slots?

Most people are nice enough to spare at least a few. Going rate, 1-5k

I just want to say thanks again to everyone, I'm feeling pretty well established here. I have the means to get some gold, buy some reagents, and patronize players' house vendors for any other supplies needed for combat and general life in Britania.
