UO Second Age

Can anyone tell me if the rares that are in the rares guide that spawn decay if they are not picked up, or are there so many people trying to get them that I am just one unlucky bastard?
I have a rune to all the locations, but have never physically seen a rare spawn - I just see em for sale at Yew gate houses.

Only checkers decay if not locked down. They're not a blessed or newbied item, they're just broken.

No Vega, (theoretical here) the broken chair spawns at say 12:20pm and no one is there to get it.. if I recalled in at 2pm to try and get it, would it still be there or does the shard decay delete it if no one claims it by the time the shard runs cleanup? Maybe I should have been more specific I am just wondering if the shard decay rate is a factor in getting rares or not.

No, the shard doesn't delete freshly spawned rares. There are rares in the guide that are claimed to not spawn that only I know the spawn location of and they sit there for hours sometimes because I'm sleeping or what not.
