A fake Bixby Legbone has popped up. He's been spotted in britain, the char has features like myself, and a very similar guild name, guild tag, and guild title. The perpetrator behind this is unknown, however he's able to mimic my identity by using the number zero (0) in place of the letter O in the guild name and tag. Please do not be fooled by this fake person. If you have any business to conduct with me, we will need to take extra measures to ensure that you are dealing with the real me and not this fake person.

Prior to this, someone has also made fake Dyne names in an attempt to trick my guild members, including myself.

How sad...to go through such lengths on a game to grief people...I bet their parents are proud!

Though it sucks from a business stand point because you put your name on any transaction you make in this game.
Its got to be an honor to know that someone has gone to such great lengths to mimic you. And put such critical thought and detail into even copying your guild name as well.

Similarly, there is a character named Budner who constantly gets waxed in PvP, really sucks at it. Quite an embarrassment to me because his skills are so weak.

Unfortunately that character is actually me.

Perhaps the official guild should take this as a lesson learned and change the guild abbreviation to something that cannot be cloned by a value such as O vs 0. It's easy to play victim and attack the bad actor but it seems there was a lack of due diligence by the GM of the official guild and that created the exposure. It takes 2 for fraud to occur and you can surely take some ownership. Change the guild abbreviation to something secure or continue more threads like this.
