Do you really benefit from GM Hiding?

I was just wondering what the advantages are for GMing Hiding. I am at around 85 Hiding right now and I still cant seem to hide unless I am by a rock or something. Right now I normally just do the teleport and hide trick. Is Hiding really worth the 100 points or can you get by with like 40 if your not using Stealth

GM hiding makes it more difficult to be revealed with the detect hidden skill.

Was completely unaware of that. Does it still make it harder inside of a house?

Nay, anyone using detect in a house that they are friended to has 100% success without regard to the skill of the hider.

my t hunter/bard and healer mule own with gm hiding..

its so nice to always know they can hide without fail.. especially when pulling off delicate maneuvers that require a lot of planning and timing. Just all around nice really.

GM hiding also allows you to be closer to your combatant and still be able to hide.

just to verify.

50 hiding = I have a 50% chance of successfully hiding myself?
60 hiding = 60% chance of successfully hiding myself?

correct?

Its not that simple .. other things can effect chance to hide, such as number of players around .. if under attack .. etc

Stealth also preforms a hide check if you have it on the template as well and at gm detect hide Vs Gm hide you can literally target the tile someones hiding on sometimes and fail to revel.

This is the main reason GM is awesome. I've been to IDOCs before where someone was mad-spamming detect hidden, and I was one of like two people that never was revealed (then some turd came in with Reveal spell, which made me a sad elf). It's also nice when you're on a boat and a detective style pirate comes after you.

How much difference is there between, say, 90, 95 and 100 hiding?

Har har. What is the advantage of having gm hiding over having just 90 or 95 hiding.

Is there some specific special benefit at gm?

At a certain point, with no armour, you never fail at hiding (or so I think). Does GM hiding allow the same while wearing a certain amount of armour?
