Housing and space issue.

I understand that it was era accurate to allow 1 house per character. But come on, we are allowed to have 3 accounts here. No wonder why there is no room left to place things. This is very deterring to new players. I realize that some people like it this way. But, I want to see this server grow. My suggestion is that because back in the OSI 98/99 Era although we could have one house per character. the majority of people that played only had 1 account. So i bid that We allow 6 houses across the 3 accounts. This will eliminate all the overpriced real-estate and give new comers a chance to settle. Once a newbie buys and places a house..... He aint really going no where. He/she will at-least stay around a while. I mean come on, once you buy a house after weeks of saving up from killing skeletons and zombies, your a big nut now! Please every one join the conversation and feel free to post your feelings. One last nugget too. OSI was always about fairness during this era before they started catering to whiny role players. Not that all role players are whiny, just the whiny ones are whiny.

This could be something to think about while considering this -

Say I have 15 houses - hour per toon.

How would it be possible for anyone player/admin to determin the 6 houses they get to keep, especially the non active players?

Remember, UOSA is 6 years old. There's a reason a lot of the land is consumed and the houses per account limitation is only one small variable compared to everything you need to take into account.

As a former player here, I never had more than 7 houses. Many players do not have 15 houses across their accounts.

Yet many do.

Menk, I've got to say... you're becoming way more annoying than I thought you ever could be. Do you find pleasure beating a horse so, so dead? Or is the constant beating at it that brings you more joy?

I'd say 2% of this server's population has 15 houses on their accounts. Even IDOCers hardly keep 10+ houses.

This is not a issue for new players, there is alot of small house spots free around the World. The Issue is then people wish to upgrade. Paying two house deeds to a player is fair, that player have spend his time to search for the IDOC house, then trying to time the fall. After this there is likely many IDOC placers on the same IDOC but only one or two can get it, the rest leaves empty handed.

Many IDOC campers will even help new players find a house spot for a small house for free, just ask in Housing forum.

Here is a list of free house spots made by me standing under the house sign.

^^ I Was making a point to say that it would be impossible to choose what houses what play/account could keep.

Thank you!

It took me something like two hours to create this list.
I did found some posts that claimed housing issues and that it was no space left, and that made me feel a post like this one was needed.

Just wanted to say thanks for the list. Finding a place to drop my small house was pretty frustrating, but thanks to you I found a great location.

Eh I don't care about the houses. Just thought it was another way to get a "bring back events" plug in.
And yea, as ohm said below. ILL NEVER STOP BEATING THE HORSE UNTIL IT HAS DECAYED SO BADLY THAT THERE IS NOTHING LEFT!

Not sure why this always seems to be an issue. I placed no less than four small houses a short walk from Skara in the last month. There are tons and tons of places for smalls in the wilderness.

Until recent months, I have rarely kept 1 house. I have been here since 2009 and still see no purpose in even owning houses. I see less reason for anyone to even need one once it was found out that you aren't even 50% safe in them.

There are atleast 100 open spots for small houses, if you really just want someplace to live. If you want a bigger house, the market is so horrible right now, you could probably negotiate a good price. People that have them, don't necessarily want them.
