Hi all! Back from a bit of a break... question!

Post by Gandalf »

Hello all, it has been quite a while since i've played UO T2A on this wonderful shard (at least 5 years!), and after fumbling around attempting to remember my account password, I eventually decided to send an account recovery request. Shortly after doing so, however, I remembered my old password (ironic) and was able to log in to the game with the razor client and onto the forums. However, I am immediately being prompted to create a new character, and it seems my old character has dissapeared. Although this is likely due to inactivity for a long period, I was wondering if perhaps there were any other factors to this occurence? I had spent a LONG time macroing and taming animals and just had hoped to pick up on my old GM tamer! :) Any feedback is much appreciated! Thanks

Its possible that your log in info for the forum is not the same as for the client? I'm not sure of the process to recover you acct info from the client/shard but if you just enter a name/password combo the client doesn't recognize it will think you are creating a new Acct so something has to be off from what it was originally.

I was starting to think that too, however when I try any other password with my account name, it says invalid acct/password. When i use the one that i remembered, it gives me the shard selection screen, and upon selecting "the second age" prompts the character creation. :(

Gandalf find me in IRC and we can check into your accounts. No characters or accounts are ever deleted by staff for inactivity.

Are you perhaps able to discover my previous account name through my email mammoth?

Just remember some of your items you've might've had stashed away all these years could be worth a lot! Check the market thoroughly before you sell anything
