There was a sea invasion in various parts of Britannia. Ships landed and a boss mob in each of the invasion locations was, I believe, driven by a member of staff. The object if I remember correctly was to rescue someone. The mobs were very tough, and on killing them, the trapped hostage was released and the player was given a gold chest which contained a very special named weapon. We were very lucky and my co-guildmaster Mahja became a legend on that shard due to his elite skills and his fearsome weapon Deamon Fist which was a blessed war mace with maxed out stats and silver so Indestructible Supremely Accurate War Mace of Vanquishing. The player received a message stating that the weapon must not be used to harm others or their would be consequences and also instructions on how to look after it. As an anti-pk guild this served us well, but as you know, sometimes a blue greifer must be dealt with and so once or twice Mahja did go red. On these occasions he never used Deamon Fist for fear that he would lose it (perhaps in death) and it was given to me for safe-keeping until such time that he had macroed his toon back to blue. being a swordsman, I never got to use the weapon myself but I was told with a smile that it was very effective and satisfying!

There was one of each type of weapon that we knew about. A halberd, the mace, a spear, a bow and I can't remember of it was a staff or a sword for the fifth one. We were also lucky enough to receive the spear to our Thrandarian, but he did not realise that a blessed item had to be in your main pack and not in a container within it and after a death his spear was lost as he expected it to be still with him when he resurrected and so did not return to his corpse to look for it until too late when it had decayed.
We also heard of the halberd which we almost acquired but was lost. I was not aware of any other weapon which survived the battles. Deamon Fist, however, lived on and as far as I am aware still exists although is obviously not as dramatically useful in the current era other than maintaining its position as the ultimate rare.
