Power Hour

I am not sure the era of this, but I do remember it any where from 1999-2001. I remember always logging on to get those skill gains during my power hour everyday. I am curious if this was T2A era and if so why is it not implemented in to the current shard?

Power hour was added in during the very end of the T2A era. Specifically, the 2nd to last T2A patch (March 9, 2000) where it was called the burst system:
  • The chance to learn a skill will be increased during the first hour of play each day for each character. Note this only affects the chance to increase a skill, not the chance to succeed in using it.
    • The burst system will not affect non-difficulty skills that below base 70.0.
Since we have a cutoff date of November 23, 1999, for what patches to include (minus the housing changes), we do not have this addition here on UOSA.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was unaware that you all had a cut off date. That is why it was confusing for me not to see this in the shard. Thanks again.

What about 8x8? Or was that ever confirmed to be real vs placebo? (I never used it)

8x8 was a real function of UOR and was part of their anti-macro code.

Power hour sucked. One of the reasons I quit. That's a lie, trammel was why I quit but power hour still suked
