UO Second Age

Hey guys, i want to share my tale on how i ended up quitting Ultima Online Today. My in game character is Omega Shenron, and i was a member of [NEW]. I started Ultima Online two days ago, because i heard how fun it was so i decided to give it a try. I just managed to GM Anatomy and i was macroing with a friend to raise our stats together so we could be powerful enough to go adventuring. So i spent a hour trying to prepare everything, ran to acquire the npcs that i needed, looked online for the proper macros for healing.

So when i was finally done with the entire process a someone managed to sneak into the Guild Keep of New. He killed me and my friends accounts that we were trying to rank up. All the hard work and the bandages i acquired so i can work on my healing is gone, all the weapons and armor gone.

This game is just not for me, even though i loved the game play while i play, i just can't deal with the PK's, ruining all my hard work i put in, in trying to enjoy the game fully. Anyway thanks everyone from [NEW] who helped me so much along the way for gear and a lot of advise and your hospitality. I was lucky to run into you guys, thank you Tara, Doogie, pringles, and the rest of you who helped me but can't remember your name atm.

Man, part of the UO experience is to think "oh, they can do that, better not do ... in future".

It's a living, breathing sandbox...but ofc if losing some bandies and your armour = game over, you are definitely playing the wrong game.

Reading this thread has made it quite clear to me that I made a mistake leaving UOSA. I've been trapped in MMO-HELL ever since I made that mistake. Time to return! Wait, where's my tower? My keep? Ah shiz, my houses? Allllll goneeee!!!

NEW is creating a lot of wussies lately, you need to teach your members about how insignificant death is so they can actually enjoy the game instead of fearing for their lives and possessions to which there is an infinite spawn of.

Imagine you put a castle deed on your house floor so another character can pick it up.. then logging on that character to see it gone. That has happened many of us when we were newbs. I rage quit bit came back. Bandies are nothing bro suck it up.

oops. I didn't pay attention to the OP's post date..

I will reimburse you whatever you lost and on top of that show you how to easily 7x gm your character in a week or less. But you should expect to die, die, and die many times over in this game. That is what makes this shard exciting. That f*ckin red that pops out of the corner. Now if only those red p*ssies didn't travel in packs of 3 and gank bards all day. -
