I just Went to the big Moonglow mage shop.. and all of the vendors are dead... why would you do this? and how would they do this?

lol havent seen that happen since OSI days.
They probably used purple pots.

I've done this before... Some alchemists had grey sandals that I wanted and some of the mages had blue sandals I wanted... And unfortunately the others were unintended casualties.

To reset the amounts on each vendor??

You can attack NPC's from a distance, if far enough they will call guards and the guards will do nothing.

They call guards once every couple mins after their initial call so you have a good amount of time to wait for the NPC to aggressively wander over to you so that you may dex it to death.

Double clicking or hitting attack last after you have already flagged will cause the NPC to force calling guards again, so be patient and don't attack more than once.

This is probably the easiest way to kill an NPC.

I remember getting jailed for days for this on OSI when I was farming black sandals from papua and delucia weavers lol.
