The random IRC advertisement never attracts but is anyone interested in the occasional gambling session whether it's 2 of us or 10? I've got a public setup on Fire Island that will work just fine.

Simple games like blackjack, even/odd, checkers and chess with bets ranging from a few hundred gold to 10k, depending on the crowd, etc.

If this sounds like something you would like to be contacted about from time to time, I think the easiest way to do this would be to compile a list. Go ahead and list your IRC nickname here or PM it to me.

Rules are simple:

Bet High/Low to double your money
Bet lucky 7's to quadruple your money

Uses in-game dice.

Are you saying if you bet 1k in instance one you would receive 2k back and in instance 2 you would receive back 4k?

In that case who would bet 7's with such a large disparity in expected value?

For those who haven't crunched it: betting high or low has an expected return of -16.6% and betting 7's has a whopping expected return of -33.3%!

That means if two people made 100 1k bets, person 1 betting high or low would end up with around 83k and person 2 would end up with around 66k.

"Lucky" 7's indeed! You should make 7's quintuple the player's money (bet 1k receive 5k), thereby equalizing the expected value (-16.6% across the board)

I'm down for this. Not sure I'm ballin' enough for the big timers, but I'll play at the young player's table. Blackjack sounds fun, could figure out how to do poker pretty easily too, if we wanted to.

Lucky 7's is actually a UOSA institution, started by the famous Zedd (sp?) and Zedd's casino! Or maybe it was Zelf. Something with a Z at any rate!
