In this era, couldnt you make the 10000 diamond jewelry? Think this would be cool to have.

I remember it. I also remember the way it worked (bugged)
Let's say you had 60,000 diamonds. If you targeted the stack, it would make "60000 diamond ring" and you'd have 59999 diamonds left. (the idea was it would consume the whole stack, but it was bugged during T2A/early UO:R)

Your right roadkill it did work like that. I would like to see it implemented on this shard, however, I think it would be cool if it consumed the jewels. It would add another cool way to customize your character, and add another cool piece of loot for the pk's. And another bonus to tinkering.

I was not aware of this myself at all, as soon as I can, or if someone else could look this up; maybe in era stratics, it would be appreciated. I'm all about adding this if it was indeed possible in era.

I haven't done any research, but I did have a GM tinker on OSI and I did quit a month before UO:R and the only difference I can note between tinkering jewelry then and here is that a ring tinkered with a diamond produced a "diamond wedding band" (OSI) not a "diamond ring" (UOSA). I do not recall being able to tinker jewelry that stated the number of gems used.

* Creating jewelry requires a gem. When prompted select a single gem (not stacked). The jewelry will be named after the gem, i.e. "a diamond necklace".

If what you said does work, then it would make sense why it only took 1 away from the stack.. possibly it just ripped the entire name of the item at the time (simple coding mistake) so you would get the "60000 diamond ring" name or however many were in the stack.
Worth looking into
EDIT: Googled it and two sites came up describing the item, however the url was redirected (site expired). I really think you guys are on to something and I would guess it worked for the reason I described.

This guy has a few multiple diamond jewelries, I checked modern stratics and it doesn't seem that you can even craft them at this point...must have been from the era.

Another interesting link, although slightly off topic.
Very hard to use a search engine for this as you can imagine heh.

I can contest that this was true too. I'm not sure if it was T2A or UO:R though. These things were all over the place though

It was early t2a. I remember them. It wasnt 10000 i was wrong it was 60000. Or it may have been any amount. I'd imagine 60,000 was the cap though cause I never saw higher then that. It could be a neckalce, or a braclet> not sure about rings. I remember only the super rich bank sitters had em. I always wanted one but they got done away with whilst i was still a n00b. They where sweet pieces of eye candy. I think if we implement them here though they should consume the jewels.

As much as I would LOVE to have this implemented as it would only bring positive feedbacks and craftable "rare" loot... i believe it was a UO:R feature.
