I recall people had "a kill", "b kill" etc macros set back at OSI, and I started playing in 98. When was "All kill" introduced?

Removing (if accurate) all kill while keeping current rules could make taming more challenging for tamers and more fair for people without pets.

There is a major taming revamp coming up, this is part of it.

All indication is that all kill was introduced with the rest of the all commands.
I have never stated that this was going to be removed.

The way it has been explained to me is that all kill would tell your closest animal to attack, not all of them... I believe this is what the change will be.

I still don't have anything that definatively shows this. I'll like to close the book on this question but I cannot yet. We are sure that that's the way it worked in UO:R.

If anyone has any info on this please post it, but lacking definitive evidence that change will not be part of any taming changes.

I should say also, because it's been mentioned in other threads that a big taming Nerf is coming. I have never referred to this as a nerf, and although people will each make their own judgment on this once the full list of changes are published; this is a correction to taming and includes every difference I've been able to dig up between the pre and post Jan 2000 pet control and animal taming system. There are no items that are specifically targeted to do harm to the class, but it's believed that the class may possibly be somewhat out of balance simply because it's not consistent with itself. Not to say that it's too strong, or too weak, I don't care either way; I care that it's correct and true to era.

Like most other things in UO, you really can't intentionally nerf things, the true beauty of UO lies in that any creative player would get around any roadblock in front of them, I do not intend to go down the road of trying to control gameplay. The goal is a mechanically accurate server, that's my only goal.

Anyways, I even have KEFKA and many other tamers in IRC (logged) admitting this is the case for "All Kill"... Kaivan was the one that first stated it...

It was most definitely the case, leaving it in because you don't have evidence towards it really is not a good idea. Trammel also wasn't added in in T2A, but you surely won't find any T2A websites saying "there is no trammel here". Same thing.

Hemp, can you quote me on that? I always remember All Kill being in T2A. If I did say anything contrary to that belief, it was that I cannot find enough evidence to say, with 100 percent accuracy, that All Kill worked the way I remembered it (although there is plenty). With that being said, there is also very little evidence to show that All Kill DIDN'T work that way.

Just like Derrick said, the beauty of UO is that anyone can get around any obstacle. Maybe you should attempt doing it ingame instead of making stuff up outside of the game.

In T2A there definitely was ALL KILL, and it definitely told ALL of your pets to attack the nearest player.

It simply involves looking for "all kill" in any patch notes leading up to and including UO:R. You won't find it.

the patch notes for the ALL command also list ALL GUARD ME twice.

this is obviously a typo, and should be the ALL KILL command. This has already been covered and discussed.

Intentionally lying? ACE are the ones full of liars, every single one of you, I don't have to prove myself here. If my intent was to lie I wouldn't have posted the whole convo.

Once again you ignore the facts, be productive and go search the patch notes to try and save your ass on this one.

No one is denying that All Kill existed, it exists in the demo, we are discussing how it functioned.

Actually that post was because I enjoy doing proper research, and realizing that I am a human and not an encyclopedia, all of my memories from 12 years ago may not be 100 percent correct (same with yours, and everyone elses).

3 people replied to that post, one of them supported the version that we have here, 2 of them support the alternative version. both people supporting the alternative version also stated that it was so long ago they wern't really sure.

I have not lied once, I have posted the full IRC convo and posted the link to your other topic, where clearly you don't know what the F to believe.

I suggest everyone read that stratics topic.

You are trying to make this a personal battle with me, I've trying to present all information that is possible because apparently a staff's memory and that of everyone else's is not enough in this case.

EDIT: Once again, someone should search the patch notes for "All Kill" changes throughout T2A and UO:R. That should be the nail in this coffin.
