UO Second Age

im at 97.1 blacksmith and was wondering what i should be be making. Heard spears can but take forever, gorgets, and plate hands. Whats the best thing i can make to gain at 97.1, not worried bout best money saver or ingot saver item but the best item to make to get to gm. someone please respond?

i did gorgs but it might not be the best just sayin what i did

haven't gotten that far along, but in reading it seems plate gorgets or gloves.. plate chests when you can, I think 99 or so.

I gmed on gorgets from that, switching do not help, thats a myth.

Any of the 3 you listed will work. Don't do plate tunics though.

May I ask, why not do plate tunics? Are gloves & gorgets proven to be just as fast time-wise? Because I don't think it's true... I think after 98 tunics will be the fastest (time-wise) route to 100...

You will need FAR fewer ingots. If you had an extra ~12k ingots you didn't mind wasting tunics might be faster, but not by enough to warrant the waste.

I JUST did this. Took spears to 99.0. You use hardly any ingots because you will successfully make the spear and smelt for the full amount (assuming GM mining). Did tunics from 99 to GM.
