A**hole vendors
A**hole vendors
Just as a warning to anyone who is just starting the shard and need full spellbooks, the vendor shop next to Brit gate and on the road NE of Brit moongate are both scams and only have empty spellbooks - posed as full spellbooks.
I have 45k, which I saved to train magery and I have spent 8k on phony books. Whoever owns those shops and is advertising full spellbooks - your arseholes.

Re: A**hole vendors
Always use item ID on spellbooks before you buy. It will tell you how many spells are in the book (64 is a full spellbook).

Re: A**hole vendors
Thats sucks getting scammed.
The Brit gate vendor you speak of is a known scam vendor, as well as the small right next to Trinsic gate.
I will hook you up with a couple spellbooks on the cheap if you are still looking.

Thanks for the advice (and the offer of help Orion). I went to Yew bank and got one for 6k - something needs to be done about these guys though.
Re: A**hole vendors
These vendors have been around for ages too. 'Business' must be good for them. The only thing you can really do about it is not shop there and warn others to do the same. They're still probably rich enough to keep them going indefinitely though.
Either that or buy them out, I guess. Anyone know who owns those shops?

The note on the indefinability of the scam is a problem.
If you buy one of these scam books, how many more empty books has it just paid for to continue the scam?

Re: A**hole vendors
other people selling full spell books are selling them for less than the empty spell books. I have over 100 for sale in my big sale thread.
