Hello everyone, I don't know if this is the right forum, but ill post anyway. I am just starting out on this shard and I am wondering how much cash does it take to gm magery? The only character i really want to play is a mage; I have been farming gold the past week with my dexxer and I am up to 40k. I wonder how much more do I need to gm magery? Any info or advice is greatly appreciated...I can't wait to get out on the field and pvp!

I don't know the answer to this, even having GM'd magery on a couple characters... I would suggest you look in the guides section of the forum (below), or hopefully someone will answer here. Either way the guides section is awesome for new players.

Welcome to the server!

You'll want a house to macro in so that you can work resist along with magery. A few different groups or individuals provide new player housing on a first come, first serve basis. There are also tricks for med and resist that you may look into here on the forums.

40k will likely get you gm mage, but you'll need more if you want resist out of the low 90's.

1k lightning, 1k eb, 3k fs regs.

So if you buy from player vendors roughly 41,500.

Gonna need closer to 2k EB's, but a small deed is a correct ballpark if bought from NPC vendors.

Well if you want to turn this into a pissing match: I've GMed magery on 4 tanks, a tamer, a t-hunter, a bard, and an archer-mage and that's what it took...but that was a while ago, so I guess you whippersnappers have it easy now.

Cheers, thanks for the replies everyone. Some kind people gave me a little extra cash today so I should be good and out on the field soon! Seems like a cool community here!

Its small but very helpful. There is a guild section on these forums you can goto to look for recruitment for a pvp guild.

Rule of thumb:

1 small deed will get you to 100 magery / 90-92 resist
2 small deeds will get you to 100 magery / 100 resist

Can someone explain to me what a small deed is? I am not familiar with this term. Also, is resist gain blocked in town, requiring a safe spot out of the guard zone to gain resist? Thanks.

They are refering to a small house deed... if memory serves me right, about 45k gold pieces.
