UO Second Age

What is everyone's best layout for keyboard macros and controls when playing uo and still having a functional keyboard for typing messages? Also how do you organize your screen with spells journals etc? Please share or post pics of desktop to compare. Thanks.

set a key for enable disable razor hotkeys np typing at that point personally my keys looks like this
E = Ebotl
H = greater heal
J = mini heal
X = Explosion
c = Cure
i = invis
p = para

basically i just put the most useful spells on keys that go with the name of the spell otherwise i just randomly place them and get used to them lol

Sit down in front of your keyboard and figure out the best layout. Its subjective to play style.

Same as a keyboard layout for quake

I use F1 through F12 for:

Bandage Self
Various Spells (GH/cure/Ebolt/FS/Recall/Etc.)
Drink GH
Drink GC
Emergency Recall

~ for last target

CTRL + Q for hiding

That's it. Not the best for PvP but addresses 99% of my in-game needs.

F1-F12 are harmful spells/offensive spells, num pad are beneficial/defensive spells/pots, mouse wheel up/down cycles wep, press mouse wheel for bandage self, additional mouse buttons (gamer mouse) arms/disarms invis/reflect/tele items and last target/target self.

When I'm spending all of my time in the num pad zone, I'm getting beat down...

f1-f12 for targeting, potions and skills.
Alt + letters I can reach while holding the left alt for spells.
alt + 1-4 are weapon, armor macros
caps lock is attack last.

ctrl + e - clumsy
ctrl + r - lightning
ctrl + t - teleport
ctrl + a - heal
ctrl +s - cure
ctrl + d - greater heal
ctrl + f - magic arrow
ctrl + g - fireball
ctrl + z - explosion

ctrl + j - paralyze
ctrl + p - invisibility
ctrl + k - wall of stone

ctrl + n - bandage self
ctrl + m - useskill meditate
ctrl + ; - magic trap
ctrl + ' useonce (razor)
ctrl + [ - recall
ctrl + ] - recall macro (rune selected)
ctrl + '-' - useskill hiding
ctrl + = - useskill provoking

f1 - reactive armor
f2 - magic reflect
f3 - protection
f4 - bless
f5 - dispel
f6 - dispel field
f7 - last object
f8 - all names
(f9,10,f11) - razor macros
f12 - 'set last target'

ctrl + 1 - drink heal
ctrl + 2 - drink cure
ctrl + 3 - arm secondary wep (kat)
ctrl + 4 - arm primary wep (hally)
ctrl + 5 - drink refresh
alt + 3 - drink strength
alt +4 - drink agility
ctrl + alt + 1 - throw explode pot

ctrl + ` - target self
ctrl + spacebar - last target
MWHEELUP - target random red
MWHEELDOWN - target random orange
NUMPAD9 - equip lightning/fireball wand/staff
NUMPAD8 - teleport item
NUMPAD7 - equip invis item

think i got everything - use this for pvp ; its sloppy but ive used the exact same keys for 7+ years.

I have a G11 keyboard, and a razer mouse with 16-18 buttons on it. I use my G keys, my F keys and my mouse keys. Hence me rocking you tools on here........

I use Ctrl+ numbers/letters/symbols for most spells and skills but also F2-F12

I think he meant F4 for mini heal self.
