Best I can tell you is to check task manager and disable things with automatic updates (like antivirus, java updater, adobe updater, etc)

You can also turn off automatic updates from windows which should help a bit more.

Ultimately, you're limited by the distance between yourself and the satellite, and the curvature of the earth. You're not exactly using military grade equipment here either :)

Sorry I can't be more help.

Sorry to break the news, but you'll always have a laggy experience with satellite. Simply because the distance between you and the satellite is huge and the radio waves cannot travel faster than the speed of light.

You might be able to run a tracert and see if there is any node in particular that is causing the latency. But all in all, I wouldn't expect a speed above 300ms in any case.

Infact radio waves cannot move faster than the speed of sound. :)

Run the following command in your command prompt:

Tracert uosecondage.com

Each line is a hop.

You need ~100ms to be serviceable on the field. Rough fact.

But there any many things that dont require you be extremely responsive. You can even fight some mobs if you can avoid people.

I normally ping 110-130. Gald to know that's the reason I suck!! I'm blaming latency from now on!!

:P

You can still macro and fight most monsters but you are stuck with the ping I'm afraid , unless you can get a cellular signal at your house.
