Mojo's Brokerage and Title Service - SECURE TRANSACTIONS

Post by Mojowerkin »

Greetings to the UOSA real state community!

Please allow me to present Mojo's Brokerage and Title Service. I am in the real estate industry IRL, let my actual experience benefit your virtual.

I will perform as the unbiased and trusted third party for any large value transaction. You will never have to worry again about being the victim of a scam, miscommunication or any other mishap that might sour an otherwise happy occasion for both parties.

The terms of the seller and buyer will be established and documented prior to the trade. After both parties agree, I will conduct the transaction.

I have been reading this thread for about a week now. In the near future I will offer apprasials and buyer/seller agency. (want to buy or sell? I will make the post and research your options)

3 day old account with 1 post.

Sounds legit.

How about establish yourself as a trusted member of the community first.

Thanks.

A valid concern.

Because I am new doesn't mean I am not legit, but it also doesn't mean I have earned trust yet.

How does one establish themselves as a trusted member of the community? I have to start somewhere.

You could start by actually not jumping right into brokerage services.

The more you sell and trade wares (and homes) on the server, the more and more you will be known as the person who sells and trades their wares on the server. Depending on the nature of said trades, I'm sure your reputation would flourish from there assuming you are an upstanding and fair dealer.

One doesn't just waltz in and earn the respect (and trust of their most valuable commodities) of hundreds of established players who've been here for over 3-5 years. This can't happen overnight.

I wish you the best of luck. :)

Thanks for your advice Inkognito, that was far more constructive.

I jumped into brokerage becasuse it is what I know and enjoy IRL.

I will start buying and selling smalls to establish myself, then repost.

I wasn't trying to be harsh, but as inkognito said, you can't just jump into brokerage. Especially with a new forum account.

As of now, the only punishment for scamming, is a ban from forums and/or IRC, only if the scamming was done using those venues.

Become an active member in the community, post in price check forums, maintain an active IRC presence, buy/sell wares etc. At the moment, you don't show much to lose by scamming, as your account is less than a week old, and that will turn people off.

I've only been here about a year and a half, but in my year and a half I've tried to establish myself as a trustworthy business person (an assh*le at times, yes). I've been trusted with items valued over 15m gold, and have done many deals with the other trusted "brokers" on this shard.

I would also recommend becoming a donor, or better yet a subscriber, to the shard. This will give you some nice forum pixels which give some credibility, in my opinion.

While being far from wealthy and possessing only the most modest unblessed 902's as my leet sandies I believe I have built a good enough reputation over the years to be trusted by many as a reliable broker.

Here is how I did it:

1) Start playing the game

2) Start being active on the trade forums

3) Conduct professional and safe trades over a period of at least 6 months (over a year is better)

4) Create a thread to record your successful transaction.
[When active I use this one (check it out for an example if you'd like)]

5) Announce yourself as a broker for the community of UOSA to enjoy.

6) Broker your butt off :D
