UO Second Age

I played UO forever ago back when i was a lot younger, years and years.
I stumbled on this site through nostalgia and am very interested in playing again:)

Im not sure if this is the right section:)

Any tips on how to get started once ingame? I remember runes and runebooks being extremely important. Once i get ingame, what is the fast way to get ahold of a runebook? Cause i know transportation is extremely important and can save my life/items:)

And lastly, template! Any reccomendations for me? I was on the wiki on the site and i noticed Assasin and Hunter template both looked very fun in my eyes! Any templates on them sorta merged? Am I able to be a Hunter for instance using magery as primary combat?

I noticed there are no templates direction towards being a healer. Is that not important in second age? I wouldnt mind being a utility, being valuable and helping others out. Id love to heal primarily to help.

Welcome to the server. This is exactly how I got started on this server about a month ago and it is awesome. Brings back the memories of the old days. I think your best bet to get around at first is using the moongates and investing in a horse, at least until you get some gold

Make yourself a char with these skills to start.

Parrying
Swords or Fencing (only pick one)
Healing (start at 50)
Tactics
Anatomy
Resist (start at 50)
Hiding (but you will only use this until you can afford to build a mage, or magery on this char)

*OR*

Mining
Blacksmithy
Bowcraft/Fletching
Lumberjacking
Healing (start at 50)
Magery
Resist (start at 50)

The second char is the "support" guy that you wanted. I figure, since you want to support more than fight this would be the perfect template for you. Yes, you might not do much dmg, but poison and disrupts on a miner? WOW! lol, I can see it now... "Don't piss me off Mr. Red, or ill have to get off my gimp dexer and get my miner" HaHa!

Is it possible to run two clients at once and play two chars at once?

not just two but THREE clients and characters at the same time.

Do i need 3 accounts for multi clients or just one will do?

I believe you need to create 3 seperate accounts... think in advance of what you will be doing when... EG you may not want a tailor, miner, or smithy on your main account. That way you can have your mules doing stuff while you are having fun on your other one...

make a bard to make money 1st, either mage or dexer. Head to destard, ll room.

or make a miner.
