Editing old posts. (The UOSA Terror Attack!)

Ever since "Telemon-bin-laden" attacked the UOSA forums by way of mass deletion of posts, we have been stuck with this crappy policy on editing posts.
For those of us who require the ability to edit old posts (mostly in the player run event forum) this is a huge problem. We don't even have the ability to copy/paste our old hyperlinks (pictures mostly).
The time it took me to construct some of these player run event threads was immense, and required weeks of editing. It may not be such a big deal if I could simply copy/paste these into a new thread, but I cant even do that. I just simply do not have the time to recreate these things from the ground up.
To my knowledge, Telemon was the only one who ever did any damage to these forums, other people either lack the ability to do so (not as high of a post count) and or would never do something like that. I could be wrong.
Anyway, I propose that the old model of post editing be restored, or at the very least please allow us free reign on post editing in the player run event forum.
Thank you for your time,
Viva la edit!
Edit before its to late: I forgot to mention the Guides section, I sure could use the ability to edit my old guides that need updating...

LOL
Yeah, re-enable editing so we can get Telamon's sandal thread back!

The loss of such is damaging to the shart as a whole.

I don't think that thread can be restored Blaise.

I agree we need edit/delete ability. Staff knee jerk reacted to something that was not illegal and it makes using the forums a pain.
Just put a rul up about mass deletion and ppl wont do it lol.

Or just let people who provide UGC (User Generated Content), own their content and leave it or take it as they see fit?
That, or just let everyone know that everything you do here now belongs to the staff. Perhaps people might think twice about putting forth so much effort to help, improve or grow a community through their services and contributions, knowing it is no longer theirs.
Oh wait....

How can one person be a specific owner of anything posted in a public domain such as this? Sure you can be the creator/author, but as soon as you post your work to the public you cease to be the sole owner of said content.
In a realm in which you can reproduce something unto infinity, everyone is a potential owner, especially if the content is free. I could have copied Telemon's sandal guide to a thumb stick, put it in my pocket if I so desire. It's the same as owning a free book.
Anyway, Blaise you seem to have turned into a passive aggressive UOSA forums troll/Telemon fanboy. Stop being a d!ck.

I get it but I don't get what the big deal is if someone doesn't feel like sharing what they shared anymore. I understand it is no longer controlled or owned by me, but to think I can't just delete some things I've contributed, for any reason whatsoever, is like...I dunno big brotherish. If I did so and you restored the data, meh, fine, it's not mine anymore, I'm done and moving on.
Anyway, I understand you'd like this thread to go where it should have been started in the first place. Trash Talk. You want to imply someone is a forum terrorist for editing posts on a forum because they felt burned or whatever the hell happened, I really don't give a crap. I am here to play games, namely, Ultima Online.
I have always been a troll, perhaps not as passive agressive but what can I say? I guess a bit of apathy has taken hold and I just do my best to continue to support this shard, it's players and admins. I know the goals of the shard and I'm not interested in trying to change them. I have enjoyed myself and tried to help others do the same throughout my time here.
You want to call me a dick for supporting another shard that I am enjoying myself on just like any other game I pick up and like? Or for being supportive of someone whom I have absolutely nothing tangible to make me distrust him, other than text on an internet forum?...meh.
I'm a fanboy of anyone I've interacted with that has always treated me straight and fair, or in the very least honest as far as I can see it. If the wool is over my eyes, so be it. I'm having a shit ton of fun playing UO, like I always have no matter the shard nor the admins, nor the assholes who come out of the woodwork to try and ruin people's shit merely for the enjoyment of watching the mess unfold. But alas, grief is the beautiful beast of Ultima Online at its finest, not only in the realm of Britannia.
I've got nothing against anyone here really, no matter how much I talk shit or poke fun. It's just shit talking on the internet. Shit, I'm the 14 y/o girl you spanked it to last night. Who fuckin knows/cares? Play games, live on!
