Newb question. Is this a rare collectors item? Or more of a convience item so you can duplicate your house key and not worry about losing it? Also is this one of the random tinker starting skill items you might start with? Thanks in advance for your time.

I think people actually use them so they don't worry about loosing their house key. I think it is a random tinker item, but I also think the odds of getting one are very, VERY low.

I bought 2 of them awhile back and since my time on uosa any char ive made i start with 1 tinkering and have never gotten a newbie key i am not sure if they spawn no more but if they do like Pirul said chances are VERY low so it is kind of a rare but more not losing your key plus never worrying about leaving your door unlocked is also a nice feature i will leave this up for a few days with full intentions of selling it

Yeah they still spawn, you make a tinker and have a chance its like 1/100 or 1/150 tinkers you make will start with one. Incredibly handy to never have to dclick key, target door, open door, dclick key, target door, then close door just to get inside.
