Recall mining has done that to ingot prices.
Just the other day I alerted a GM about a recall resource gatherer I suspected of being afk. Not only were my suspicions correct, it turns out he was using EUO to pull it off.
So in short, enjoy your ban, Mr. Hunchback. And unfortunately, I don't think he's the only one doing it.

Epic graph. How long did it take you to create?
Also, great job on the sleuthing Pirul! You're a Mexican ninja.

Impressive. Where did you get the data? Ask price in the forums? Confirmed deals?

Just an hour or two.

All data was collected from the trade forums, using confirmed deals with stated prices, or the offer price in buying posts.

The average price is 6.744 and attached is an updated graph with a trend line and median line.

The next step would be to measure changes in the general price level by constructing a CPI:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consumer_price_index
Weighing in other commonly traded goods such as pots, regs, t-maps, dexer suits, gm items etc.

Absolutely, I've been thinking about it for a while, just have never wanted to invest the time myself. Consider though, a lot of items have been consistently priced throughout shard history, especially "consumer goods", while there have been really drastic price changes in the rares and high-end real estate markets, so that might have unknown effects on trying to get an accurate CPI. It would definitely be cool and more informative to get some more goods' prices charted.
